Easter Weekend Part 1: Egg Hunt & Granna's Birthday

Our weekend was packed full and my babies had a ball. We arrived in the hometown bright and early Saturday morning to go to our church egg hunt.... which AnAn was in charge of. My big boy hunted among 600 eggs and lots of little church friends, plus their parents and grandparents. (I seriously think every child there had a grandparent there too.) He filled his bucket to the top and even found a few eggs for baby brother. Then, to top it all off, he got to play on the playground for a little bit too. It was a win-win morning!

After the egg hunt we went over to Terrell's parents house for a little bit to play and give Austin a bottle (and change his clothes since he spit up everywhere at the egg hunt). Garrison sequestered Nana in the bonus room/play room and didn't come out til it was time for lunch. He literally wants nothing to do with us when the grandparents are around. And sometimes it gets him in trouble because he thinks it's okay to ignore mama and daddy. But more on that later...
After enjoying a big, yummy lunch with the Selph's we went over to my parents' house for naps and to get ready for Granna's birthday. Both boys took good naps and afterwards, Garrison enjoyed dying eggs with Granna. A tradition from my childhood has now been passed down to the grands. Garrison was pretty fascinated. So was daddy. Haha!

Then we got ready to go out for Granna's birthday dinner. Here's Granna with her two favorite boys.

After our delicious meal, we headed home for cake and ice cream. Of course, Garrison did the honors. No birthday celebration is complete without candles to blow out and cake and ice cream to enjoy.
Despite the fact that we got so busy with bedtime for the boys we just about forgot to give Granna her present, and the fact that Garrison got into trouble more than once for talking ugly to us because he only wanted Granna or Nana to address him or do anything for/with him, we had a fun filled Saturday and great first half of our Easter weekend!
