Visit to Livingston

Today Garrison and I were able to stop by Livingston (the school I taught at for 3 years) for a visit. It was so good to see everyone! Especially my former 2nd grade teammates and especially some of my students from last year. They smiled so big when they saw us and it made me miss them so much. I had the best class last year and I love keeping up with them in 3rd grade. I could tell that they are all getting older and becoming more mature. One of my favorite students is almost as tall as me now. That's why I always liked the little ones- because they weren't as big as me yet. Anyway, being back at the school brought back lots of memories... good and bad. It made me realize that while I did enjoy teaching, it's just not my calling anymore (at least not for this point in time) It reminded me of stress and exhaustion unfortunately. It also reminded me of feeling overwhelmed and like there were never enough hours in the day. But most importantly, it reminded me why I wanted to stay at home and why I now have my own business as a Premier Designs jeweler (independent distributor). Reminders like these are good sometimes and I'm thankful God knows how to help me stay content and grateful!

Something New

Lately I've been searching for a way to document and capture all of the memories and experiences I'm sharing with Garrison (my little man) and Terrell (my hubby) each day. I am very blessed to be a stay-at-home mom and I am amazed at what I'm able to witness each day. Garrison is always learning, changing, and experiencing new things and I wanted more than pictures to remember this time by. So, with a little help and advice from a good friend, the decision was made. It is my hope that I'll be able to truly capture our memories and adventures as a family through this blog. I'm looking forward to writing and sharing and most importantly recording our journey. I hope my family and close friends will enjoy and appreciate what is shared as well.

By the way, the name represents who we are right now: "Selph~ Party of 3". But since we're looking forward to expanding our family sometime in the future, we know that the number will change. (So we added .... after the number 3.) I'm excited about what God has in store and I'm looking forward to capturing/recording as much as I can!
