7 Months Old

My littlest man is 7 months old today! I can't believe we could actually start a countdown to his first birthday (which we won't because it's way too early, but still.) It's funny how when Garrison was 7 months old I wasn't even thinking about him being 1 because it still seemed so far away. The second time around I guess you just know how fast it's going to go by. (Tear.) Anyway, I am going to do my best to keep enjoying this baby stage and not even think about toddlerhood. I'm just going to keep telling myself it's still far far away!

This month was a month full of firsts and lots of new little milestones for my baby boy. He's had himself one busy and exciting month!

This was the first month we were able to use Garrison's little outfit from his 7 month pictures. Garrison's 7 month birthday was in September right at the start of Georgia football season, hence the UGA tee. (The last picture is of Garrison by the way.) Having them in the exact same thing shows how much they resemble each other. (Of course I forgot to change the photo option back to medium, so my pictures are blown up. Oh well.)

Stats and Happenings This Month:

*You weigh between 18 and 19 pounds and are probably around 26 inches long.
*We're still using size 3 diapers but I'm pretty sure size 4 would fit too! You're wearing sizes 6-9, 6-12, and 12 month clothes.

*Your second tooth came through this month right beside the first one. That grin is precious with those two bottom teeth shining.
*You still love all your baby food AND you love your bottles now! Yay!!! You nurse every morning after waking up and before bed every night, but take 2 bottles during the day. We are so proud of you!
*You started drinking (water with a splash of juice) from a sippy cup this month too. We did the same thing with Garrison and it made giving up the bottle so, so easy... so we thought we'd try it out with you too. You are such a big boy drinking from your cup. It's even been said that you're advanced! =)

*Unfortunately, you are still spitting up. A lot. But it doesn't slow you down or phase you one bit. You are such a good, laid back baby.

*This month you started going to bed a little earlier... between 7:30 and 7:45 and you sleep a little later... til about 7:15 or 7:30 most mornings. We are so blessed with such a great night time sleeper!

*Both of your naps are between an hour and an hour and a half. I'll take it though!
*You started sitting up all by yourself this month!! You love sitting on the floor with your toys and putting them in your mouth and watching everything that's going on around you.
*You also started scooting around on the floor this month! You're an over-achiever already! So far you're using your feet and knees to push yourself forward, and sometimes you'll use your arms and elbows to do an army crawl.

*For the first time ever you sat on the floor and rolled a ball back and forth with Garrison (with a little help from mama). It was so fun and precious and adorable to watch the two of you interact and truly play together. I loved every minute of it! And so did the two of you!!

*You and Garrison love each other SO much and I pray you are always each other's very best friend.

*Austin, you are a wonderful, amazing blessing to our family and we love you soooo much! Happy Birthday!!!
