Under the Sea

Under the sea
Under the sea
Darlin' it's better
Down where it's wetter
Take it from me
Up on the shore they work all day
Out in the sun, they slave away
While we devotin'
Full time to floatin'
Under the sea

I couldn't resist. =)

We enjoyed another summer field trip yesterday! Under the sea! The whole crew ventured out to the Georgia Aquarium and we had such a good time. (Thankful for our Christmas gift from the Reding fam!) The boys loved it and I think Piper was pretty impressed too. She did perfect the whole trip!

We arrived early and it wasn't very crowded so we could linger at lots of exhibits and take our time... plus see everything we wanted! When we visited back in February it was super crowded and hard to see all the smaller windows/exhibits so yesterday was pretty awesome for our crew.

They had a new exhibit we loved of sea lions that was really cool. They were so active and fast and swimming around doing tricks like crazy. This was a big hit for the boys.

We even got to see a dive demonstration and interview. Another cool treat from our visit. And, the boys got to have their picture made with him! Layton was hilarious because he never would turn his back completely on the diver for a picture. Hahaha!

This was the best I could get. =)

3 guys and a little lady. #cousinlove

We saved the ocean exhibit for last because it's our favorite and it did not disappoint! We love the ocean and it's animals! I think this trip's favorite was the whale shark. They are HUGE and the boys were fascinated. Especially our animal lover and expert. =)

The massive groupers were pretty popular too.

Because it wasn't super crowded and the animals weren't overwhelmed or agitated we were able to touch a sting ray and shark this time! Even Austin touched the sting ray. They were both soft and slimy. Ha.

We hung out in the last room of the ocean exhibit with the huge window for a long time just watching the fish and pointing out everything we saw and what we liked. And, again, because it wasn't crowded we could stay and relax and enjoy ourselves as long as we wanted. =) Summer field trip success!!

Loved experiencing another summer adventure with this crew! So thankful we all get to experience summer together. It's a huge blessing I don't take for granted.

This summer has been busier and a little different than summers of the past, but we have savored it ALL! Even though it feels short (every summer does) it's been so full and soo fun! And we loved our visit under the sea!!
