Weekend Fun

This weekend was full of family fun. Yay! Those are the best kind of weekends. Here's a quick recap for our family scrapbook...

*Saturday morning we had another soccer game. Things looked very promising until we got there and the little man decided he didn't want to play. SO frustrating. Finally, after begging, pleading, encouraging, threatening, bribing, and a little more threatening he got out there and played. And guess what? He had a ball. Yaaaaay!! Why oh why must we pull teeth to get him out there?? He had the most fun he's ever had at a soccer game (his mid-game snack was a big hit) and mama and daddy were super proud. PS... my baby is number 6.

*After the soccer game we did a little yard-saling, grabbed some lunch, and then headed home for naps. Immediately following naps we got on the road to B'ville for a cook-out at my Nanny's with my dad's side of the family. She had a little shindig to celebrate all of the October birthdays. My boys had so much fun. Garrison played with his older cousins non-stop and Austin explored around the backyard and had fun playing with leaves and dirt and anything else he could get his hands on.

*Unfortunately we had a rough night Saturday night. Mr. Austin woke up multiple times (soooo not like him) and just wasn't feeling his best. He seemed fine on Sunday morning so we got the family ready and went to church together. LOVE. Being back in church was such a blessing. Then we had a delicious lunch afterwards.

*After some fun play time at Granna and Papa's we headed back home yesterday afternoon to unpack, do some laundry, and prepare for Monday. Unfortunately as the evening wore on we discovered we were in for another rough night with baby boy. Boo.

*Poor Austin was congested and had a runny nose and just couldn't breathe very good. So he couldn't sleep very good either. Which means we were in and out of his room from about 7:15 until about 2:00 in the morning. Can you say exhausting for all parties involved? We decided this morning that I would go ahead and go into work (with Garrison) and Terrell would take Austin to the doctor (and then bring him to school afterwards if the doctor gave the okay) and then he'd go in and work half a day. Being a working mama with no family around to keep sick kiddos is tough. One of my least favorite things about working is the dilemma about what to do when one of the babies are sick. I do not like that stress one bit.

*Anyway, enough of my complaining, the doctor determined it was only teething issues. Praise the Lord! We were sort of afraid he had another ear infection. Or very afraid to be exact. So he's napping peacefully now and feeling lots better. Yay! However, mama is going to be prepared for these nighttime teething issues tonight. Tylenol and teething tablets will be on stand-by!

And I think that wraps up our weekend and our day today. Happy Monday afternoon!
