SGI 2018: Part 2

It's another recap today! I just love reading back over our vacations. And everything else here on the blog. I hope my kids love it just as much as I do one day. Then they'll understand and see the value and importance of all those pictures they suffered through. 😊  Here's part 2 of our beach vacay!!

Monday morning on the beach with my guys! Monday never looked or felt so good. #thebest

We had another beautiful day, beautiful view, and so much fun.

Baseball on the beach was popular all week long.

So was playing in the sand. 😊

On Monday evening we planned to go out and we tried a brand new restaurant on the island. We had a really long wait but they catered to kids perfectly so we were thankful!! Layton danced quite a bit to the live music so I had to grab a picture.

The boys enjoyed their fun coloring/workbooks, played some corn hole, and got a turn in the big green chair. 😊

We got some family pics before we left for ice cream...

After ice cream and stuffed bellies, we went home and got ready to call it a night. We had another great day and enjoyed our first night out, even though it was a long one.

Hello Tuesday morning!

Tuesday was gorgeous and we made the most of it by hanging out at the beach as much as we could. The boys all built sand castles with Granna, played another baseball game, played another game we brought along, and spent lots of time in the ocean throwing balls, jumping waves, and swimming.

We stayed out at the beach late and then grilled hamburgers and hotdogs at the house once we were all showered and sand-free. Tuesday was terrific. 😊

And then it was Wednesday!

I believe Wednesday was the day Layton Thomas decided he loved the ocean more than anything and wanted to stay in the water constantly. We bought him some arm band/swimmies and that made a huge difference. We could actually let him swim and didn't have to carry him or hold him. One day I was carrying him in the water and we got WIPED out by a wave. It wasn't pretty. I thought I'd never get up. Hahaha. Thankfully Layton was fine. And I was too. Just a little shipwrecked. Ha!

Another beautiful day.

We decided to go out to a restaurant off-island on Wednesday and it's become one of our favorite places to dine every year on vacation. The food never disappoints and it had a putt putt golf course.... so perfect for us.

These 3 loved their golf game.

And as soon as we got home we got ready for our crab hunt. The boys were soo excited! And the moon was full and shining on the ocean. It was gorgeous.

I think crab hunting is going to become an annual tradition. The boys loved it! Two out of three at least. Haha. Garrison was awesome at catching them! He got some really big ones!

Terrell grabbed quite a few too.

And once Austin got comfortable and confident, he caught a couple too! It was such a fun night.

Layton got a little scared near the end of our hunt and had a hard time settling down for bed, but thankfully there weren't any crabs to be spotted in our beach house and he finally felt safe enough for sleep.

We really did have the best time. The boys were crazy and high maintenance at times, especially our littlest man, but we all loved our vacay and made so many fun, special memories.

I'm hoping to have the final recap of our week ready to go on Thursday. Have a Happy 4th!!
