TGIF!! Phew. It's been a crazy 2 weeks and we are ready for the weekend! I'm attempting to catch up a little on the happenings around here lately so I'll always remember the crazy January we had. Haha.
Here's a look at our favorites...
*One of the best things about this January is that our pool was completed! Shortly after our snow days they poured the concrete and we became one step closer to the final product!! #sooooexcited!!
*Our pool guys got this cool shot with a drone. You can still see the snow in the bottom of the pool and on our roof! You can also see a bit of our deck which we're super excited about.
*Another view! This project has been BIG and is still a ways from being complete but the pool is totally worth it. 😊
*This little man has been eating his weight in cereal for a while now. It's crazy how much he loves it! This was his plate of seconds for breakfast a couple of weeks ago.
*The weekend before last I got in back to back days of 1 mile walks. It was so pretty outside and the whole fam stayed out the majority of the weekend.
*Our school celebrated our 100th day last week with lots of kiddos dressed up as 100 year olds. Austin Selph was my favorite. 😊 We were last minute but pulled it off!
*Getting this picture of Baby Girl with all of her little loves was my favorite!! I can hardly stand the cuteness!!
*Last weekend we celebrated my Nanny's 83rd birthday with family. We had a fun night celebrating a special lady we're super thankful for.
*Garrison is enjoying his new birthday present and becoming a pro fast! So far he's only using it inside and loving it. 😊
*Garrison also got a new Bible for his birthday and we're enjoying looking up Scripture with him. We've also started using his Jesus Calling for Kids devotional as a family devotion before bed. Since January 1st he's been reading it on his own each night before bed, but now that he has his own Bible he's wanted help looking up the Scripture that goes with each devotion... so it's become something we're doing together. Garrison reads it for us and we've been doing it after reading a book to Layton and letting Austin read to us. It's pretty special... even if we lose Austin and Layton's attention sometimes. 😊
*The finishing touches were made to our pool and it's now swim-ready!!
*The completion of the deck, sod, fence, and other landscaping needs are all we have left for our big backyard project!! We can't wait for summer!!
*Layton and I stayed home together on Monday and went to the doctor and tried to get over our sickies. We enjoyed our extra time together lots. We normally don't make him nap on the weekends (or days he doesn't have school) so on Monday he asked for rest time instead of nap time. He watched a show and played a little and then went upstairs to play and got really quiet... which usually isn't a good sign! But when I went to check on him, he had put himself to bed! Bless!! I melted. And made his picture. 😊
*I forgot my lunch one day this week (I don't remember that ever happening before. It's just been that kind of week. Sigh.) and my sweet husband offered to pick me up something on his way through town to his next stop/meeting. And he surprised me with a Frosty! #lovelanguage I enjoyed every bite while I worked during nap time. It was the sweetest, yummiest surprise!
*We managed a Game Night this week! Eye Found It remains a big favorite for the boys. And this time, daddy was actually behind the camera. 😊
*We all went out as a family the other night to see the Blue Moon. It was part of Austin's homework and he had me send his teacher a picture. Haha. We were all very impressed. It was big, bright, and gorgeous. #ourGodisamazing
We are so looking forward to our weekend and getting the craziness of this week behind us! It's been a doozy. Tomorrow is all about Garrison and his birthday outing and should be fun for the whole fam. We can't wait to celebrate with our birthday boy and enjoy some weekend goodness! Happy Friday!!
