We had a really great weekend wrapping up our Fall Break. I didn't take as many pictures as I should have but still wanted to document everything here. As the days turn into weeks, months, and years (faster and faster it seems!), I want to be able to come back here and remember and enjoy. We write to taste life twice, in the moment and in retrospection. ~Anais Nin This pretty much sums it up for me! 😊
Terrell took the day off on Friday so we could spend the day together as a family and enjoy a long weekend before heading back to the grind of our regular routine this week. It was fabulous and we all loved almost every second!
On Friday morning we took the boys to Cracker Barrel for breakfast for the first time and they were fans! YAY. We needed a break from Waffle House. Hahaha. And Cracker Barrel is my personal favorite for slow-food breakfast. Yum!
After breakfast we took the kiddos to Sky Zone (one of their most favorite places on Earth) where they got to enjoy unlimited jump time thanks to a Fall Break special. They had a blast.
And Terrell and I got the comfiest seats in the house and enjoyed talking, watching our boys, and just hanging out. We even tag-teamed some nearby errands! I love doing life with this guy. 😊
I was also able to read quite a bit of my new book Friday afternoon. It's a good one!
Before coming home we made a stop by Dollar Tree (another one of the boys' most favorite places on Earth, ha!) and picked up dinner for the O'Mary fam. Friday night was laid back and care-free. Just like it's supposed to be.
On Saturday morning we got ready and went out for our annual trip to the pumpkin patch! When we arrived, it was a bit like FFF.... Forced Family Fun. Only a few of us were in good moods and happy and thankful to be there. So that was a bummer. But the good news is that after we finished our FFP.... Forced Family Photos, everyone had the BEST time. All was right in the world again and they didn't want to leave! So it turned out to be an almost perfect outing. 😊 This is us on the hay ride but I'm hoping to blog about the whole trip later this week. We'll see if I can make it happen. If not, it's coming sometime. Ha.
Also, while we were there, Terrell took this picture of me without me knowing.... getting back at me for taking a picture of him at Sky Zone. Haha. But I ended up loving it. Because of my hair! I can't believe it's even my hair!! I mean, my hair is the lowest "maintenance" it's EVER been, and I love it!! Possibly more than ever!! #itsamiracle
Saturday afternoon Terrell went to watch the UGA game with a friend (such a bummer that we lost), and the boys played and watched the game while I cooked. It was our turn to bring snacks/brunch for Sunday School so I was able to do everything Saturday afternoon instead of having a crazy Sunday morning. Yay. 😊 Saturday night was super low key. We a great mix of fun and boring, productive and lazy this weekend!
Sunday morning we enjoyed church together before spending the afternoon celebrating my birthday with my sweet in-laws. They took us out to lunch and then we went over to their house for cake, ice cream, and presents. I was spoiled something serious for my bday this year! It's been a fun start to 35 so far. 😊
This week is back to the grind for all of us and we're struggling a little. Haha. Hopefully we'll find our groove soon because mama is TIRED. And it's only Tuesday. #blessit At least we have some Fall temperatures approaching fast to look forward to. Squeal!!
Hopefully I'll be able to post about our pumpkin patch visit coming up. It was a different experience this year... but priceless and memorable nonetheless.
Have a great day!!
