We had a really great weekend and wrap-up to our Spring Break. I'm so thankful for all the fun, rest, and extra time together we were able to enjoy last week and over the weekend. It was very much needed and awesome. 😊
Friday morning we slept in a little and since Terrell took the day off to spend with us we got ready to go shopping for pool and deck furniture! Squeal!! Of course the boys were more impressed with manly things. Haha.
We made some final decisions about furniture, made some purchases, and then headed home to get ready for our last big outing of Spring Break..... a visit to SunTrust Park to watch our high school baseball team play!
My parents went with us and other than horrible traffic, we had a really fun trip! We had free admission and free parking (everyone did) and we got to sit in the cushioned seats right behind home plate!! We felt like VIPs. 😊
We loved cheering on our Trojans at a Major League field.
Meanwhile, my father-in-law was back at my house working on our deck as we had new materials arrive during Spring Break. We are so thrilled and excited about how it's turning out!!
The Trojans played a good, close game and came away with the win!
We won 3-2 in a true Major League Battle. 😊
We got rained on near the end of the game and walking back to the car but what's a trip to any Braves game/field without a little rain? Haha. It seems to happen to us every time. It was a cool experience for sure and the craziness of the drive home and extra looong adventure at Steak n Shake was made a lot more fun thanks to Granna and Papa coming along. We had a blast.
Saturday morning was pretty low-key. Terrell did a lot of work outside while the boys and I hung out.
They played a ton with baseball cards, watched too much TV, and got along great. Praise!!
Once Terrell finished a couple of his "projects" he took some shots of our new backyard. We can hardly believe it!! It's no longer a mud-pit! It's beautiful and wonderful and almost completely finished!! 😊 This view is from the other side of our fence where we have our playset, trampoline, and soccer goal (for now).
And this is the view inside of the fence.... Basically, we're in love. #thatsumsitup
Shortly after lunch we had to make another run to Lowes and Home Depot for a few more things we needed for the backyard and then it was time to hit up the annual Fish Fry/Family Reunion at my parents' house. I didn't get any pictures because 44 PEOPLE and CRAZY, but we had a good time and enjoyed seeing everyone from my mom's side of the fam who we don't get to see super often.
We wrapped up Saturday night with me buying groceries and then all of us watching Atlanta United and the Braves. It was a great Saturday.
Then Sunday morning we were off to church.
We had a sweet and cold morning together. It doesn't feel like Spring just yet but we know some warmer temps are on the way! (PS... I've never been so excited for warm weather! Ha!)
Sunday afternoon I organized and tackled some preparations for the week (my theme is Bugs 😊), laid out and ironed my clothes, made lunches for the boys, and was able to squeeze in a short nap.
We also couldn't resist a few more pics of the backyard. It's just our favorite view!
I also made a run to Dollar Tree Sunday evening on my way to pick up Subway for me and the hubs. #teacherlife
And I came home to this.... baseball in the foyer. Sigh. (Thankfully it was a stuffed baseball.) Sunday afternoon was a tad long with these 3 being stuck inside but thankfully they found ways to entertain themselves without breaking anything or anyone getting hurt. #lifewithboys
Sunday night we tried to get everyone to bed a little early and it was my turn with this baby. He likes to "read" by flashlight while we sit on the bed with him and then we tell him goodnight and I love you 14.7 times before we're free to leave. Then he pretty much always goes straight to sleep. 😊
We had a laid back and wonderful Spring Break and weekend. Now we're 34 days away from SUMMER!! Woohoo!!! We can do this! 😉
Happy Tuesday!
